The Hide Care Division of HS French Flint Ltd have been producing Connolly Hide Cream
and Connolly Leather Cleaner under license from the original Connolly Brothers Leather
Curriers for over twenty years.
The Connolly Brothers business was established in 1878 and became renown for producing
the very best hides in the world as used by Rolls Royce, Bentley, Jaguar and other prestige
motoring marques. Having realised that their superior leather required careful cleaning and
conditioning they developed their own brand of Hide Cream (originally called Hide Food) and
Cleaner which was produced in house for many years. It was only when production moved
away from their historical site in South London that the secret recipes and responsibility for
production were passed to our own company.
Hide Cream’s main ingredients are Lanolin and Beeswax, natural substances widely used in
soaps, cosmetics and ointments, which results in what is recognised worldwide as the best
leather conditioner on the market. It is suitable not just for the upholstery in cars, but leather
furniture, leather luggage, leather clothing and shoes as well as equestrian equipment and
even leather book bindings
Cleaning and Applying once a month will give the fine look and keep leather soft and clean
